Pho Fickler & The Last Archaeopteryx. – Coming Soon.
Read on for the synopsis.

Synopsis: The Pho Fickler series is a YA fantasy fiction mystery series that is able to engage readers of all ages seeking adventure and a deeper connection with the natural world. The book is heavily inspired by current global environmental issues and my local land, Australia. The series tells the chronicles of Pho Fickler, a young boy who has been introduced to the magic of his local environment by his naturalist grandfather but is yet to explore greater Aileron for himself. This all changes when Pho accepts a position at Aileron’s prestiges school of science, Fogbow’s School of Natural Processes. Throughout the series, Pho learns much about Aileron’s creatures, its systems, and the rich connection many Ailers have with its powerful elements. Unexpectedly, Pho is also plunged into an ongoing conflict between two opposing ideologies: Those such as him who value the environment, and those seeking wealth and power above all else. Progress: I’ve been working on book one of the Pho Fickler series since January 2019 (in between Uni & work commitments). Currently, I’ve written the novel from start to finish, done initial editing (cutting and adding large chunks), and I’m now part of the way through doing my first re-write from start to finish. As I’m re-writing the entire book a small team of beta readers are moving along behind me reading and critiquing the story. After editing the book as per their feedback I will do a few more rounds of beta reading and editing and employ the services of professional editors. At this stage, I suspect the book is at least 6-12 months from being finished.
